NASC offers CRNFAs who are retiring from professional nursing the option of CRNFA Emeritus status, or CRNFA(E). Please note that once you retire your CRNFA credential, you would have to meet eligibility requirements, reapply, and successfully complete the CRNFA Professional Portfolio to reinstate CRNFA.
To be eligible to apply for CRNFA Emeritus status, you must currently hold the CRNFA credential in good standing. The CRNFA emeritus credential is not available if your CRNFA credential has lapsed.
The one-time fee for Emeritus Status is $125 for all CRNFAs.
NASC’s Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC).
