RNAS-C

The RNAS-C (Registered Nurse Assistant at Surgery – Certified) program is for registered nurses who have completed an RNFA training program and are interested in improving and validating their knowledge and skills and providing the highest quality care to patients. A bachelor’s degree is not required to hold RNAS-C certification, and you may sit for the exam after 120 practice hours in the RNFA role.

Candidates use the RNAS-C credential to gain credibility and recognition from colleagues and patients, achieve their personal and professional goals, and enhance their career development. RNAS-C certification provides evidence to employers that the certified individual has met academic and national standards for the knowledge required of first assistants at surgery.
