The RNAS-C exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions and must be completed in 3 hours. You are allowed one 15-minute break, if needed.
The RNAS-C exam was developed by subject matter experts including RNs, RNFAs and RNFA educators. Test questions are regularly reviewed and updated by subject matter experts to maintain accuracy and currency. NASC has been administering the RNAS-C exam since 2009.

The RNAS-C exam is offered as a live remote proctored exam through Prolydian. Live remote proctored exams can be taken in the comfort of your own home or workplace. For more information, see Prolydian’s test taker FAQs. You can schedule your exam 24/7 and 365 days of the year.

The fee to take the exam for RNAS-C certification is $425.
Once your application is accepted, you will be given an account with Prolydian. You can schedule your exam directly from your Prolydian account.
You can reschedule your test appointment from your Prolydian account any time up to four hours before your exam appointment. If you fail to reschedule your exam and do not keep your appointment, your entire testing fee is forfeited.
You must test within 4 months of submitting your application. If you do not complete your exam within 4 months, your entire testing fee is forfeited.
You will be informed of your test results within 72 hours.
If you do not pass the exam upon your first attempt, you may retake the exam within 90 days of the original test date, yet no sooner than 45 days. Candidates cannot test more than three times within a 12-month period. The retake fee is $195.
